Back in OK to Stay (…at least for now)

I’ve been home in Tulsa, OK for three weeks now, and here’s what’s gone down:

Week 1: Wedding festivities for my bestfriend, which meant HUGE reunion of good friends; girl time, lake time, and lots of dancing! (I love you McKenna! God bless you and Paden in your new marriage!) I also spent a lot of quality time with the fam & Brandon in the pool and eatin’ good food ;) Lots of laughter no doubt!

Week 2: Road trip to Vail, CO with Brandon to see my sister Meghan!! The boy and I hiked four out of the five days there (I earned some nice blisters from our endeavor…but it was totally worth it!) We hiked Missouri Lakes, Fancy Lake, Booth Lake, Piney Lake (all in Vail), & saved the best for last with my sister and her roomie…The Maroon Bells in Aspen, CO…WOW!! Amazing place, I totally recommend it! There was a lot of loud singing in the car, great convos on the trail, a kickball game in the middle of mountains (where Brandon, Dani, and I may have done a short National Anthem performance…haha), and once again, good food. Thank you Lord for an AWESOME trip!

Week 3: This week has been a lot of chill time, which has been super nice. I’ve done the “responsible” stuff like paperwork for my new school, doctors appointments, etc., but am heading to another high school friend’s wedding tonight! I’m bringing my best guy friend, Ted Crump, since Brandon is currently in CO to scatter his grandpa’s ashes at his favorite fishing river in Platoro (may this trip bring peace & joy to your entire family love). Tonight should be another great night of reunions and dancing. God continues to bless us.

In conclusion, I feel a deep peace knowing that God has called me back to OK to stay (…at least for now), and am super excited to see what He has in store for me as I move to OKC in two more weeks or so!! There will no doubt be new friendships, a new Church community, new kids to love on, and new challenges to grow from. Continue to prepare the way Lord, as we hope and trust in You for EVERY good thing. Peace!
