So went to DC with three close girlfriends this weekend- it was much needed time away from Philly, and a break from teaching. Can’t express how blessed I am by the women that God has placed around me here within the Teach for America community. I’m amazed. They are amazing.

Saturday got to sleep late and run on an awesome trail in Virginia that was partly shaded and right by the water! Also got to walk around Eastern Market, have dinner with friends at Levante’s Mediterranean restaurant (soooooo good! highly recommended!), and have some sweet sweet time at church and out to lunch on Sunday with a very talented friend of mine God is good.

Back at Temple now, tryin’ to gear up for week 2 of teaching!! And this time it’s math! scary!~ who knew an art major would be teaching 3rd grade math? Welp, here we are. So here I go…
